About
Discover traffic, explained
DiscoverGap exists so publishers can see why Google Discover and Google News send them traffic, or don't, and what to do next.
Why we built it
Google Discover and Google News can send a publisher more traffic in a day than search sends in a month, and then go quiet for weeks with no explanation. Search Console shows the numbers but not the reasons: Discover has no keywords, and Analytics often files Discover visits under "direct".
DiscoverGap connects to your own Search Console and Analytics, works out which of four situations your site is in, explains why, and gives you a plan for the next 30 days.
The four situations we diagnose
- Not in Discover yet: what is stopping your articles from being picked up.
- Shown but not clicked: which headlines and images lose the click.
- Getting traffic: how to keep it and which topics are carrying you.
- Up and down: what your spikes and drops have in common.
Who runs it
DiscoverGap is operated by Anshul Kumawat, Bajrang Colony, Bijainagar, District Ajmer, Rajasthan 305624, India.
